Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow all safety procedures.
  • Use electrical test equipment to test electrical circuits and equipment.
  • Size and install conduit, wires, breakers, fuses, starters, motors, and other electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electric Code.
  • Install, service, replace and repair instrumentation, electronics, and other electrical devices.
  • Perform and document calibration of instrumentation, scales, and balances.
  • Specify, install, and troubleshoot AC and DC motors and motor drives.
  • Understand PLC operations, troubleshooting and ladder logic diagrams.
  • Perform electrical equipment PMs and complete work order documentation.
  • Wire control cabinets from a drawing or schematic.
  • Read & interpret documentation such as electrical schematics, manuals and technical bulletins.
  • Operate a forklift, scissor lift and Genie boom.
  • Plan and organize individual work.
  • Perform work in a timely manner.
  • Have and maintain proper tools and meters.
  • Maintain good housekeeping throughout plant and shop.
  • Work overtime on short notice and anytime needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards.  
  • Identify quality issues and attain established productivity standards.  
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures. 
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or directed. 
  • This role is a full-time position within our site where we have a team approach to manufacturing.  Timely and Regular attendance is crucial to your success and the safety of the team.
  • There is mandatory overtime associated with the role depending upon the needs of the business because, with team-based manufacturing, production areas must be manned for worker safety and may continue beyond the end of a scheduled shift or may require additional overtime hours outside of normal shift schedule.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent two-year college or technical school; or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-3 years of Electrical experience preferred.
