Overview

The Supply Chain Planning Intern will support core planning functions across Teknor Apex's Supply Chain organization, including demand planning, supply planning, raw material buying and planning, production scheduling, and inventory management. The intern may assist with SKU-level forecasting, product family taxonomy analysis, S&OE/S&OP process development, and cross-functional initiatives such as pigment harmonization, gaining hands-on exposure to how planning decisions connect to procurement, manufacturing, and customer service. The intern may also support the team's growing use of AI tools to improve forecast accuracy, data analysis, and planning efficiency.

The intern will work closely with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, Production Scheduling, and Manufacturing & Business unit teams on high-impact projects, gaining exposure to end-to-end supply chain planning, forecasting methodology, and process improvement.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Current Junior or Senior College Student majoring in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration / Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics / Statistics, Finance
  • Interest in supply chain planning, forecasting, and manufacturing operations
  • Strong AI and Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, formulas, and charts)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to perform duties under specific time requirements
  • Ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
