Overview
- Responsibilities and Authority:
- Supervise and offer support to lab technicians in all laboratory functions including, but not limited to quality control and color matching.
- Coordinate daily lab activities.
- Assist Lab Manager in technical support to production, sales and customers.
- Coordinate lab 5S and safety activities.
- Must demonstrate leadership qualities and the desire to function at a lead level.
- Must achieve “Lead” level competency within 1 year of promotion to this level.
- Education and Experience Requirements:
- Must have minimum of 3 years color lab experience.
- Must be knowledgeable in pigments and additives.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge in color concentrate compound, and dry color product lines preferred.
- Must pass Farnsworth / Munsell 100 hue test.
- Must be capable of performing all necessary math calculations.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Must hold a High School Diploma, G.E.D. and/or related job experience.
- Must meet “A” level requirements.
- Must demonstrate competency with computer software – Ex: Microsoft “Word” and “Excel”
- Essential Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of standing for prolonged period of time.
- Must be able to lift quantities up to and including 55 lbs.
- Able to pass a drug screen
