Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and plans the department work schedules and resource utilization.
• Reviews and resolves customer service issues related to delivery, claims or accuracy of shipments or requests.
• Reviews customer shipping requests and coordinates follow-up when orders are shipped.
• Coordinates movement of product between other plant locations and outside warehouse facilities.
• Evaluates costs for product handling, and storage and movement of inventory within and between warehouse facilities.
• Orders and approves supplies and maintenance for department.
• Evaluates warehouse staff performance.
• Reviews safety, training, job descriptions, and SOPs.
• Reviews financial data, budgets and labor reports for department.
• Reviews shipments and minimizes freight costs by evaluating consolidation, delivery dates, and proper carrier selection.
• Ensures Company safety procedures are being adhered to.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Position assumes full managerial responsibility for a single department with multiple functions, or acts as a coordinator of multiple departments.
• Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards.
• Identify quality issues and attain established productivity standards.
• Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Position requires between 4-6 years of logistics management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Must maintain current DOT, IATA, and IMDG Certification for Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Shipping.
• Work requires the application of a variety of procedures, policies, and/or precedents used in combination. Frequently, the application of multiple, technical activities are employed; thus, analytic ability and inductive thinking are required.
• Ability to manage continuous schedules, maximize use of warehouse space and develop the most efficient routing. 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 55lbs
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
