Under the direction and supervisor of electrical maintenance mechanics & supervisor, the apprentice will:

1. Understand and follow all safety procedures.
2. Use electrical test equipment to test electrical circuits and equipment.
3. Size and install conduit, wires, breakers, fuses, starters, motors, and other electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electric Code.
4. Install, service, replace and repair instrumentation, electronics, and other electrical devices.
5. Perform and document calibration of instrumentation, scales, and balances.
6. Specify, install, and troubleshoot AC and DC motors and motor drives.
7. Understand PLC operations, troubleshooting and ladder logic diagrams.
8. Perform electrical equipment PMs and complete work order documentation.
9. Wire control cabinets from a drawing or schematic.
10. Read & interpret documentation such as electrical schematics, manuals and technical bulletins.
11. Operate a forklift, scissor lift and Genie boom.
12. Plan and organize individual work.
13. Perform work in a timely manner.
14. Maintain good housekeeping throughout plant and shop.
