Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Printing and filing of batch cards.
  • Maintaining batch record integrity and ensuring the records are in proper storage for review. Determine when records must be archived in storage areas.
  • Work with the Inventory Control Coordinator to maintain inventory control of all raw materials, in process compounds, finished goods and scrap.
  • Coordinate the re class of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Process sample orders and distribution orders (DO’s).
  • Coordinate repackaging activities with the Production Supervisors.
  • Check batch cards to ensure data integrity (raw materials are relieved properly, time is reported properly, and MO’s are closed regularly).
  • Resolve any questions posed from the plant accounting team.
  • Assist in the plant’s daily cycle count process.
  • Back up the raw material handlers on locating key raw materials.
  • Back up the Inventory Control Coordinator.
  • Report and manage scrap and look for opportunities to sell and/or blend b-grade material.
  • Manage and disposition b-grade and E&O inventory.
  • Retrieve batch records for complaints or quality investigations.
  • Learn the process of production scheduling to be able to back up the Production Scheduler.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed.
  • This role is a full-time position within our site where we have a team approach to manufacturing. Timely and Regular attendance is crucial to your success and the safety of the team.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:  

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of clerical experience required
  • 2 years experience with Inventory Control Management
  • Experience in MRP, production and inventory control techniques
  • Experience in batch manufacturing processes
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Time management and decision-making ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills (eg Microsoft Office, ERP systems) required

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.   
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards   
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time, squat, bend, twist and turn as needed to perform the job.     
  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
