Overview
This position supports TN manufacturing recruiting is responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies to attract, assess, and hire qualified candidates for operations positions across Teknor Apex’s Tennessee facilities and other sites as needed. This role will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, with a strong focus on high-volume manufacturing hiring, proactive candidate sourcing, community outreach, employment branding, and candidate experience.
The TN Talent Acquisition Consultant will work onsite five days per week and partner closely with plant leadership, hiring managers, Human Resources, local schools, workforce organizations, and community partners to build sustainable talent pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of the recruitment process for operations and manufacturing positions, with primary responsibility for non-exempt hiring and support for exempt hiring as needed.
- Partner with plant leadership and hiring managers to assess staffing needs, establish hiring priorities, and define candidate requirements.
- Create and execute an annual recruiting calendar that includes job fairs, open interview events, school partnerships, community outreach, and targeted hiring campaigns.
- Plan, promote, and facilitate onsite open interview days and other high-volume recruiting events.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local high schools, trade schools, community colleges, workforce development agencies, government employment offices, service organizations, and community groups.
- Develop accurate job descriptions, job specifications, and selection criteria in partnership with hiring managers.
- Post positions and proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, resume databases, employee referrals, community outreach, cold calling, and direct outreach.
- Review applications, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate the interview and selection process with hiring managers.
- Maintain timely candidate communication and provide guidance throughout the recruitment and hiring process.
- Partner with management and Human Resources on offers, including compensation, incentives, shift assignments, start dates, and other employment details, and coordinate pre-employment activities.
- Develop and execute social media campaigns, recruiting materials, and employment branding initiatives that strengthen Teknor Apex’s visibility in the local labor market.
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking records, monitor recruiting metrics, evaluate sourcing effectiveness, ensure legal and policy compliance, and recommend improvements to recruiting strategies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Recruiting, staffing, Human Resources, sales, community outreach, or workforce development experience.
- Experience sourcing and screening candidates using job boards, social media, resume databases, and direct outreach.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions, recruiting events, candidates, and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and execute recruiting plans with limited supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience working with applicant tracking systems or other recruiting technology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling candidate and employee information.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week at Teknor Apex’s Tennessee location.
- Ability to travel locally to job fairs, schools, community organizations, and recruiting events.
- Ability to occasionally work outside standard business hours to support recruiting events, open interview days, or community activities.
