Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain established quality standards per production requirements.
- Maintain maximum line speeds and productivity of all machines assigned.
- Demonstrate ability to identify production issues and troubleshoot, as appropriate.
- Complete all required production records accurately and completely.
- Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards.
- Identify quality issues and attain established standards.
- Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
- This role is a full-time position within our site where we have a team approach to manufacturing. Timely and Regular attendance is crucial to your success and the safety of the team.
- There is mandatory overtime associated with the role depending upon the needs of the business because, with team-based manufacturing, production areas must be manned for worker safety and may continue beyond the end of a scheduled shift or may require additional overtime hours outside of normal shift schedule.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Ability to recognize quality problems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to operate in a self-directed environment and complete tasks on time and thoroughly as assigned.
- Ability to demonstrate operational decision as required, maintaining production levels.
- Ability to read and write.
- Must be able to safely operate forklift.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, squat, bend, twist and turn as needed to perform the job.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times throughout the shift.
- Must possess good manual and mechanical dexterity to perform job duties.
- Remove tooling and properly reassemble using basic hand tools. Basic motor skills are required to perform the necessary mechanical aspects of this job in an efficient manner.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds multiple times throughout shift.
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment.
Hose Physical Requirements:
- Move and control reels of garden hose weighing up to 1200 pounds. Body strength and stamina must be sufficient to perform these duties 50 times per shift.
